Global Gossip have provided solutions to various market segments where such solutions were previously hard to find. Delivering niche software solutions has been part of our mandate since we formed the company. From the development of a single prepaid account for all your communication needs - Wi-Fi, PC desktop, Calling card and Mobile Phone; through to our latest HSIA and MICE offering, we’ve been pushing the technological boundaries, offering you stand-out products and services. Our goal is to never hear from our customers as the systems “just work” no matter what device is being used by the guest to get online.
At the heart of our network is an outsourced Computing as a Service (CaaS) platform provided and managed by Verizon Business. Verizon have designed their Core to provide full automation and dynamic workflow for computing resource provisioning, automatic resource fail-over, and management of all network, server and storage elements. The CaaS Core has built-in intelligence that enables a server to be re-deployed quickly in the event of a problem. When server redeployment is initiated from the Core, the server image – including server configuration details – is moved to a new CaaS server resource.
The only downtime is the time required to reboot the server. As a result, every CaaS server is a highly available server resource.
Because CaaS is highly available, Verizon are able to offer stringent availability service level agreements (SLAs) including 100% availability of the virtual farm and 100% server availability and specific response and resolution timeframes.
We would not be in the position we’re in today if our solutions didn’t keep up with the changing times. Disruptive technology is upon us on a regular basis, changing the game in terms of Internet delivery. Whether it’s a new handheld device guests are using to access the Internet, or new technologies enabling higher speeds and increased reliability to properties, you can be sure Global Gossip not only know about it but are already developing our systems to cater for it.
For any user on a public network, security is absolutely paramount. Whether or not virus protection is enabled on a guest laptop or if firewall parameters have been configured appropriately, you can rest assured each device on a Global Gossip network has built-in protection against possible attack from other users of the system. Each device is given an isolated ‘tunnel’ through to the Internet ensuring protection within the hotel network.
